Ad manager for Telegram channels

Keep your advertising work next to your channel content. Track the ads you sell and the placements you buy without a separate spreadsheet for each partner. The ad manager is a paid feature. On Free, your records stay readable and statistics use sample data.

  • Sold and bought ads
  • External channels and contacts
  • Revenue and CPM

Manage sold ads

Keep the details of each advertiser and placement with the channel that will publish the ad. Review the record when you need to check what you sold and what it earned.

Track bought placements

Record ads you buy on external channels and keep partner contacts close to each placement. Compare the cost of promotion with the results you review in analytics.

Review revenue and CPM

See ad revenue, cost, profit and CPM together. CPM is calculated from the views you enter for each ad, because Telegram does not send ad views to Autogram. Use the numbers to review your channel business and prepare the next conversation with an advertiser.

Keep each placement connected to its result

Record the channel and contact for a placement, then keep its advertising details together. Use external channels when you buy a placement outside the channels you manage in Autogram. Review revenue and CPM to understand the result of each ad and compare it with your other placements. Keep sold ads and bought ads in the same workspace so you can see both sides of your advertising activity. Paid plans and the seven-day trial provide access to the ad manager. If the trial ends without a paid plan, Free keeps the records available to read and shows sample statistics. Sold ads that are already scheduled still publish.

Recording an ad, step by step

  1. 1

    Choose sold or bought

A sold ad is a placement in your own channel. A bought ad is a placement you pay for in someone else’s channel. A sold ad needs one of your channels or posts. A bought ad needs the external channel and the invitation link you used.

  2. 2

    Record the deal

Enter the price in US dollars, Ukrainian hryvnias or euros, the publish time and its timezone, and notes. Keep each external channel with its contacts, so the seller’s name, phone, email and Telegram handle sit next to the placement. A sold ad creates a linked post, which publishes on schedule like any other.

  3. 3

    Enter the results

After the ad runs, type in its views and the other numbers you have. Telegram does not report them to Autogram, so the figures are exactly what you enter. For a bought ad, Autogram reminds you when the post link is still missing.

  4. 4

    Review the totals

The statistics page adds up the revenue from sold ads and the cost of bought ads, and shows the net profit and the average CPM. Amounts in different currencies are converted into one display currency.

Offers, price checks and plans

Save an offer and check its price

Paste an offer you received, save each offered channel as a line with its price and placement format, and ask for an evaluation. Autogram divides the price by the channel’s subscribers and compares it with a benchmark: the app-wide median once at least five other users contribute, otherwise your own median of at least three past buys. Above 1.5 times the benchmark it says overpriced, and at or below 0.8 times, in a matching category, it says good buy. You can run 30 evaluations a day, and the verdict is a guide, not a guarantee.

How CPM is calculated

CPM is the price divided by the views, times 1,000. If you did not enter views for an ad, it has no CPM. A sold ad whose post was abandoned and never published is left out of revenue and CPM. Invite-link joins, and the cost per join, are counted only from the moment tracking began for that link.

What each plan can do

Paid plans and the seven-day trial can create and edit ads, external channels, contacts and offers. Free keeps existing records readable and deletable, and shows sample statistics with a label. Sold ads that are already scheduled still publish when a trial ends.

Ad manager questions

No. You enter the views and other results yourself, and CPM follows from them. Autogram does read the subscriber count of a public channel when you save its link.

US dollars, Ukrainian hryvnias and euros. Totals are converted into one display currency with a daily exchange rate.

You can read and delete records that already exist, and you see sample statistics. Creating and editing ads, channels, contacts and offers needs a paid plan or the trial.

Autogram compares the price per 1,000 subscribers with a benchmark from your own past buys or from other users’ anonymised data. It also shows your last purchases on the same channel. The result is a guide for your negotiation.
