Performance metrics

Follow subscriber growth from a daily snapshot, and compare posts by the views you record. See which posts, content types and hours of the day do better for your own channel.

Engagement tracking

Pro and Business plans add a top-performers sort, a content-type breakdown, a brand-voice consistency card and a comparison of two channels, so you can see what to repeat.

Multi-Currency earnings

Record ads you sold and bought in USD, UAH or EUR. Autogram converts them to one display currency with a daily exchange rate and shows revenue, cost, profit and ROI.

How analytics work

Autogram reads each connected channel's subscriber count from Telegram once a day and stores it, so the growth chart builds up from the day you connect the channel. Telegram's Bot API does not report views, reactions or forwards for a post, so you enter those numbers yourself, and the dashboard then compares posts, days, hours and content types. Earnings come from the ads you record in the ad manager, in US dollars, hryvnias or euros, and Autogram converts them to one display currency. Free shows subscriber growth and labels the rest as sample data; paid plans unlock the real numbers.

From a connected channel to a report, step by step

  1. 1

    Connect a channel

Once the bot is an administrator, Autogram reads the channel's subscriber count from Telegram about once a day and stores one snapshot per day. History starts on the day you connect, because Autogram does not import older data. You can also type a count for a past date or press Sync now, which is limited to once an hour for each channel.

  2. 2

    Record your post numbers

Telegram's Bot API gives Autogram no views, reactions or forwards for a post, so you enter them yourself in the advertisement form, which belongs to the ad manager and needs a paid plan. The dashboard uses the views you enter. Engagement rate also needs them, so a channel without recorded views shows no engagement figure.

  3. 3

    Read the dashboard

Pick a channel or all channels, and a date range of up to 365 days. The Posts tab holds a posts table, a content-types chart and a timing view with average views for each hour of the day and each weekday. The Ads and earnings tab shows revenue and cost for ads you sold and bought. Each channel also has its own page with growth and snapshots.

  4. 4

    Act on what you see

Use the timing table to move a schedule toward hours that gave more views on your own channel, and use the content-type view to see which kinds of post you record higher views for. These are your own past numbers. They describe what happened, and they do not predict what a future post will do.

Plans, currencies and limits

What each plan shows

Free shows subscriber count and growth, the snapshots page, and total views and posts. Engagement, revenue, post statistics, timing and ad statistics appear there as sample data with a label. Paid plans add real engagement rate, per-post views, the posts overview, timing by day and hour, and ad statistics. Pro and Business also add comparing two channels, content types, a top-performers sort, per-post revenue and CPM, and a brand-voice consistency card.

Three currencies, one total

An ad can be priced in US dollars, Ukrainian hryvnias or euros. Autogram fetches exchange rates once a day and converts the amounts into the currency you choose, and the page shows the rate and its date. If no rate is stored for a pair, the amount stays unconverted, so check the rate line before you rely on a total. Profit is revenue minus cost. ROI is profit divided by cost.

What analytics does not do

Autogram does not collect post views from Telegram, does not measure clicks or cost per subscriber, and does not predict results. Report export is planned and is not available yet. Automated digests are planned too. The numbers you see are the ones Telegram reports for the subscriber count and the ones you record yourself.

Analytics questions

No. Telegram's Bot API does not report views, reactions or forwards for a post, so you enter them yourself. Autogram does read the subscriber count of each connected channel once a day.

Free includes basic analytics: subscriber count and growth. Other sections show sample data with a label, so you can see the layout before you upgrade.
