Telegram Channel Rate Card and Media Kit: Sell Sponsored Posts

TL;DR. To sell sponsored posts in your Telegram channel, you need two documents and one process. The media kit proves your reach with a few numbers from your own channel statistics. The rate card turns that reach into slot formats and prices. The process keeps every sold slot in one list, with its placement format, publish time, and result. Build the documents in an hour, then run the slots from an ad manager instead of a chat history.

Autogram's Ad Manager keeps sold and bought ads in one place, with revenue and CPM. This guide shows the workflow around it.

What does a Telegram media kit contain?

A media kit is a one-page summary that a buyer reads before they write to you. It answers three questions: who reads the channel, how many of them see a post, and what happened to earlier ads.

Keep it to the numbers you can prove with a screenshot. Telegram's own channel statistics expose views per post, shares per post, the share of subscribers with notifications on, growth, audience languages, and traffic sources (Telegram API docs; the page carries no date, so check your own statistics panel for what your channel shows). Whether you see the panel depends on channel size, because Telegram sets that limit on the server.

Put these items on the page:

  • Niche and language. One sentence. "Personal finance for Ukrainian freelancers" beats "business".
  • Subscribers and median views per post. Use the median of your last 20 posts, not your best post. We define reach as median views divided by subscribers.
  • Notifications and growth. Screenshot the panel. A buyer trusts a screenshot more than a typed number.
  • Posting cadence. How many posts a day, and at what hours.
  • Past results. Two or three earlier sponsors, with the result you can share. Ask each sponsor first.

How do I build a Telegram rate card?

A rate card lists the slot formats you sell and one price for each. Write the format first, then the price. The price comes from your reach, not from what another channel charges.

The core format is the placement format X/Y: the post stays at the top of the channel for X hours and is deleted after Y hours. A 1/24 placement and a 24/72 placement are two different products, so give each its own row.

FormatWhat the buyer getsPrice basis
Short placementPost at the top for a few hours, then stays in the feedFixed price per slot
Top-and-deletePost at the top for X hours, deleted after Y hoursHigher price than the short placement
SeriesSeveral posts over a weekPackage price, discount against single slots

Do not copy a price from a listicle. Use the formulas in our two pricing guides: floor CPM for direct sponsorship and the suggested posts pricing calculator. They turn your median views into a price per slot.

What changed in 2026 for advertisers

Advertisers now have a cheaper official option to compare you against. On 26 August 2026, Telegram Ads lowered its minimum CPM for channel, bot, and search targeting from €1.00 to €0.15, for new campaigns only. That figure is a floor for bids in a first-price auction, not the price advertisers pay: the same report puts the average CPM in Q2 2026 at €0.98, down from €1.04 (m-context, 5 September 2026, citing Magnetto data).

What this means for your rate card: a buyer who writes to you directly pays for something Telegram Ads cannot give. That is a fixed time at the top of a channel with a known audience. Say so on the card.

How do I schedule and track ad slots?

Plan slots on a calendar, not in a chat. Two sponsors who both ask for "Tuesday morning" is the most common mistake, and a chat history will not warn you.

Use this routine for each sale:

  1. Confirm the format. Pick one row of your rate card. Write the X/Y values in the order.
  2. Book the time. Check that no other sponsored post sits within the top window of the new one.
  3. Create the ad record. In Autogram, add a sold ad with the sponsor, the price, and the post. Schedule the post at the agreed time. The ad manager stores the top hours and the lifetime hours for the placement.
  4. Publish and stay hands-off. The post publishes on schedule.
  5. Close the slot. When a placement reaches its end time, Autogram sends one notification, in the app and in a Telegram message, so you know to remove the post. Autogram does not delete the post for you.
  6. Send the sponsor a result. Use the numbers from the ad record in your next media kit.

Paid plans can manage sold and bought ads. The Free plan keeps the ad manager readable with sample statistics, so you can see the layout before you commit; see pricing for plan details.

Disclosure: label every sponsored post

Mark each sponsored post as an ad. The US Federal Trade Commission advises simple, clear words such as "ad" or "sponsored", placed where the audience cannot miss them and in the same language as the post. It warns that disclosures are likely to be missed at the end of a post or behind a "more" click (FTC, Disclosures 101, November 2019). Check the advertising law of your own country as well. We did not review national rules for this guide.

Put the label in the first line of the post, so it also appears in the channel preview.

Common mistakes

  • Pricing from your best post. One viral post sets a price your median cannot support. The buyer sees the real number in the first week.
  • No end time. A "temporary" top slot that nobody removes breaks the next sponsor's slot.
  • A media kit that is never updated. Refresh the numbers every month.
  • Selling the same hour twice. Book from one list.

FAQ

What is a good CPM for a Telegram channel?

It depends on your niche and your real reach. Work from your median views per post, not from your subscriber count, and use the floor-CPM method in our direct sponsorship guide. Then compare the result with what advertisers can buy elsewhere.

How much should I charge for a sponsored post in my Telegram channel?

Charge per slot format, based on the median views of your last posts. A longer time at the top of the channel earns a higher price than a short placement. Our pricing calculator shows the method.

Do I need a media kit if I only sell a few posts?

Yes, but keep it to one page. A screenshot of your statistics, your median views, and one line about your audience answers most of a buyer's first questions.

Where do I find my channel statistics?

Open the channel's statistics panel in Telegram. It shows views per post, shares, notification share, growth, languages, and traffic sources. Telegram decides on its server which channels get access, based on channel size.

How do I track sold ads in one place?

Create an ad record for every sale with the sponsor, price, post, and placement format. Autogram's ad manager keeps sold and bought ads together with revenue and CPM.

Do I have to label sponsored posts in Telegram?

Label them. Clear words such as "ad" or "sponsored" at the start of the post follow the FTC's guidance, and your country may require more. Check your local rules.

Bottom line

A rate card and a media kit take an hour to write and make every later sale faster. Prove your reach, sell clear slot formats, and record every placement. To run the slots, schedule the posts and keep the results in the Autogram Ad Manager.
