A Guardian Bot is a Telegram bot designated to screen every join request sent to a private channel or group before membership is granted. Introduced in Bot API 10.1 (June 2026), the Guardian Bot receives incoming requests and can automatically approve, deny, or trigger a Web App challenge — such as a quiz or CAPTCHA — to verify the applicant. This lets channel operators enforce audience quality standards without manually reviewing each request. Autogram automation rules can attach a Guardian Bot flow and send a welcome message to approved members in the same pipeline.
