How the Telegram integration works
Autogram reaches your channel through a bot you add as an administrator, the same mechanism Telegram gives any publishing tool. Once the bot can post, the channel appears in your dashboard and everything runs through the Bot API: drafts, scheduled publishing, edits, pinning and deletion. Nothing is forwarded from another account, so posts appear as native channel content without a forwarding tag. You keep ownership throughout — removing the bot's admin rights ends the integration immediately, and nothing is published without a schedule or rule you created yourself.
Connecting a channel, step by step

Link your Telegram account
Open the deep link Autogram gives you and press Start in the Autogram bot. That ties your Telegram account to your Autogram account, and it is how Autogram later checks that you really run the channel you connect. The link works for 20 minutes, and a new link replaces the old one.

Add the bot as an administrator
In your channel settings, add the Autogram bot as an administrator that can post messages. Autogram connects a channel only when you are an administrator of it yourself, so nobody can claim a channel just by knowing its ID.

Write, schedule or automate
The channel now appears in your dashboard. Write a post by hand, ask the AI for a draft, set a publishing schedule, or attach the channel to an automation. Text posts, single photos and photo albums are all supported, and a photo over 10 MB is compressed before it is sent.

Edit or unpublish later
A published post stays editable: change its text, caption or media in place, or delete it. Unpublish removes the post from Telegram but keeps its text in Autogram as a draft, so you can fix it and send it again.
Permissions, ownership and formatting
One channel, one owner
A Telegram channel connects to only one Autogram account at a time. The bot posts only in channels where you added it, and it cannot read your private chats. If you remove its administrator rights in Telegram, publishing stops at once, and after repeated failed deliveries Autogram pauses the channel and tells you why.
Formatting Telegram accepts
Telegram rejects a MarkdownV2 message when a reserved character, such as a dot, a dash or an exclamation mark, is not escaped. Autogram escapes the text for you, so you write normal prose and the post is not refused because of a stray character.
Length limits are handled
Telegram allows 4,096 characters in a text message and 1,024 in a photo caption. When an automation writes a post that is too long for its limit, Autogram asks the AI to shorten it once. If it is still too long, the post waits as a draft for you instead of being cut off mid-sentence.
